Bengaluru, Dec 12: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday visited Gandhinagar to witness the swearing in ceremony of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on his second term.

Bommai called on Patel on his being elected as Chief Minister for the second term and also as ruling BJP’s seventh consecutive term in the State.

“It is a clear vindication of the people’s faith in ruling BJP’s good governance and administration,’’ the Chief Minister has sad in his congratulatory message.

Bommai also met several ruling party State Chief Ministers during his visit to Gandhinagar, who had visited Gujrat to witness the swearing in ceremony of Bhupendra Patel.

Mourns demise of Ramakrishna Mission Chief

The Chief Minister has sent a condolence message on the demise of Pravrajika Bhaktiprana Mata and 4th President of Sri Sarada Math and Ramakrishna Mission. "She was a noble soul who served the socity selflessly. May her soul rest in peace and may God grant her family and followers the strength to bear the huge loss,’’ Bommai said.

In Bengaluru, a delegation of Advocates Association led by Vivek Subba Reddy and others called on the Chief Minister and requested him ensure that the proposed legislation for the protection of advocates be taken up during the forthcoming winter session of the State Legislature commencing in Belagavi on December 18. Bommai has responded favourably to the demand.
