Bantwal: Kannada Sahitya Parishat to hold 16th annual children’s literary conference on Dec 13

Bantwal, Dec 12: ‘Makkala Kala Loka’ Kannada Sahitya Parishat will be holding 16th annual children’s literary conference under the aegis of government higher primary school, Ojala on December 13.

The programme will be held under the cooperation of Bantwal taluk education department and Idkidu gram panchayat. It will be presided over by sixth standard student of Ojala school, Sruthika and inaugurated by 10th standard student of Vittal Pre-University College High School, Dhanyashree and seventh standard student of Puttur Panaje Vivek Higher Primary school, Dhanvi Rai Kote will be the chief guest.

Students from schools across the taluk will welcome, compere, conduct poetic conferences and propose vote of thanks in the programme.

Idkidu gram panchayat president M Sudhir Kumar Shetty is the honorary president and Bantwal block education officer Jnanesh B A is the president of the welcome committee and sub committees formed for the occasion.

Discussions on literature will be held and short plays will be performed. Puttur MLA Sanjiva Matandoor will participate in the concluding ceremony.

Mudipu government pre university college student Lavanya will give away the concluding speech.

Parishat president Vishwanath Bantwal will hoist the parishat flag and Chidananda Pelanthinja will hoist the Kannada flag. Author V B Kumble will release the literary works by children.

Journalist Mounesh Vishwakarma has been selected for the Balabandhu award from Kannada Sahitya Parishat Bantwal, said Makkala Kala Loka president Ramesh M Bayaru. Mounesh Vishwakarma is active as a drama director and in literary and art activities in school and college activities and also children’s dramatics.
