Kundapur, Dec 13: “I have noticed some people claiming that they are the election candidates for Byndoor and have received a ticket. BJP has not announced candidates for any of the constituencies. The party will take action if anybody confuses the party workers saying that they have received the ticket,” said BJP district president Suresh Nayak Kuilady.

He was speaking in the news conference held at Hotel Jewel Park, Hemmady on Tuesday, December 13.

“Everybody has the right to contest elections but the party will decide whom to issue the ticket to. The aspirants should remain quiet till then and work for the growth of the party and not create unnecessary confusion. Be patient till the party issues the ticket,” he said.

“Five MLAs in Udupi district have done excellent work. BJP will win all the five seats in the district with a huge margin. BJP has a hold in 115 gram panchayats out of 155 in the district. Most of the MLAs and MPs belong to our party in the zilla and taluk panchayats. If Congress is interested to discuss development work performed in the district, let them come,” he said.

“Pramod Muthalik will not even receive 3,000 votes no matter what he does. The voters in Karkala have shown what real Hindutva is. I intend to give opportunities to young people. Good results will come out if we do it in Karnataka.”

Asked if he would contest elections from Kaup, he said that the decision of the party would be final. “I have worked for the party for the last three decades. I will contest if I am given an opportunity,” he said.
Byndoor mandala president Deepak Kumar Shetty, chief secretary Prakash Poojary Jeddu, Priyadarshini Devadiga and Davood of minority unit were present.
