Mangaluru: Former captain of Kerala kabaddi team passes away

Mangaluru, Dec 15: Former captain of Kerala state amateur kabaddi team and former player of national kabaddi team Manjeshwar resident Sunil Kumar (53), died at his home on Thursday, December 15.

Sunil was highly diabetic and suffered from gangrene since few months. He was employed with Kerala excise team earlier and was running his own business at present.

Sunil was the captain of Kerala kabaddi team for several years and had won many laurels. He was recognised for his play in the national kabaddi team also. He also created opportunities for many youth players of Kasargod district to represent the district in state team.

Umamaheshwari amateur kabaddi association offered deep condolences on the demise of Sunil.
