Udupi, Dec 15: “NSUI has called for a state-wide bundh of degree, post-graduation and engineering colleges on December 17 to press for their various demands,” said NSUI president Saurabh Ballal at a press conference here on Thursday.

“The results of university examinations are being delayed. Therefore, the scholarships of the construction workers, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, Vidyasiri, Raitha Vidyanidhi and other departments are not being received by students on time. Poor students are unable to pay their bus fares. Therefore, examination results should be declared on time. Students should be given free passes to travel in government buses. The college fees should also be reduced are our demands,” he said.

“The students and the parents will be made aware of the failures of the government in the campaign,” he said.

NSUI’s Anish Poojary, vice-president Sharath Kunder, Sayyed Furkan, Rakshith Raj, Sreyas and Sayyed Adnan were present.
