Beltangady, Dec 17: Trolley of a moving truck broke off at Ambadthyaru under Mundaje gram panchayat limits on Mangaluru-Villupuram NH 73 on Thursday afternoon. Luckily a huge disaster was avoided by providence.
The truck was carrying glass items of specific weight from Bengaluru to Mangaluru. As the truck approached Ambadthyar, the trolley on the backside got bent and separated from the vehicle and ran near a roadside canteen and stopped. If it had hit the canteen or nearby electricity pole, there was a chance of major disaster.
Locals gave support to the trolley through wooden logs as it is completely bent. The truck was bought just a few months ago. The driver of the truck was devastated. Locals pacified him.
