Bantwal: District legal forum requests CM to pass lawyers' protection bill

Bantwal, Dec 17: Dakshina Kannada district legal forum Bantwal submitted a request to the chief minister (CM) through the tahsildar urging to table and pass lawyers’ protection bill in the Belagavi Vidhan Mandala session.

“Lawyers do not have protection and there are several instances of attacks on lawyers these days. Therefore, lawyers urge to pass the bill soon,” they stated.

The delegation consisted of district legal forum taluk president Suresh Poojary, senior advocate Chandrashekar K V, Hatim Ahmed, Chandrashekar Rao Punchame, Rajaram Nayak, Suresh Kumar Navoor, Umakar Bangera, Mohammed Kabeer Kemmara, Umesh Kumar Y, Abdul Rehman, Richard D’ Costa, Sathish B Gangadhar Nayak, young lawyer Veerendra Siddakatte, Mohan Kumar Kadeshwalya, Chandrashekar Bairikatte, Abdul Jaleel N, Tulasidas Vitla, Mohammed Ashraf, Sainath Gowda, Laxminarayana Siddakatte, Mohammed Munzir and others.
