Bantwal, Dec 17: The job fair held at Kalladka Sri Rama First Grade College on Saturday here by the industrial training and employment department, district employment exchange Mangaluru and Sri Rama degree college, Kalladka was inaugurated by Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik.
He said that the prime minister has passed the national education policy to provide skilled training. It will bring about a huge change in the future, he said.
As many as 1,180 job aspirants took part in the fair. Fifty-five companies held interviews. More than 60 candidates received letters of appointments. More than 410 candidates were invited to appear for the second round of interviews.
Sri Rama educational institute president Narayana Somayaji presided over the programme. Lions east governor Dr Geethaprakash, Srirama institute Kalladka convener Vasanth Madhava, Balthila gram panchayat president Hiranmayi, district employment exchange officer Yacharappa Badigera and Lions zonal president Laxmana Kulal Agrabailu were present.
College principal Krishnaprasad Kayar Shetty welcomed. Professor Harshit rendered a vote of thanks. Student Jaideep Amai compered the programme.
