Kundapur, Dec 19: “We can come to power only if we work at the booth level in all the 248 booths of Byndoor Vidhana Sabha constituency,” said Mysuru division Congress party in-charge, Rosy John.

He was speaking at a meeting of Byndoor and Vandse block Congress party leaders and workers at ANR guest house, Kollur on Monday.

Former MLA Gopala Poojary alone had applied as an aspirant for the Byndoor seat showing the unity of Congress, he said.

KPCC executive president R Dhruva Narayan said that BJP does not have the moral right to come in front of the people.

Former MLA K Gopala Poojary said that various political leaders had visited him after his surgery.

Vidhana parishat member Manjunath Bhandary, KPCC secretary M A Gafoor, district Congress president Ashok Kodavoor, Byndoor block Congress president Madan Kumar, Vandse block Congress president Pradeep Kumar, district panchayat former president Raju Poojary, KPCC members Pakashchandra Shetty, Ramesh Ganiga, Prasanna Kumar, Arun Kumar Shetty and others were present.
