Kundapur: MP B Y Raghavendra requests union minister to release kerosene oil quota to fishermen

Kundapur, Dec 20: MP B Y Raghavendra has requested Hardeep Singh Puri, union minister of petroleum and natural gas to release 6,723 thousand litres of Kerosene oil pending to be released to fishermen in Karnataka.

He met the minister at Samsat Bhavan on Tuesday, December 20 and thanked the union government for releasing 3,000 KL PDS Kerosene oil in addition to the 2.472 KL Kerosene oil during the financial year 2022-23 to the Karnataka state government.

Only 5,472 KL oil is approved for the Karnataka state government during 2022-23 out of the normal distribution of 12,195 KL. The MP requested the minister to direct the concerned to release the remaining 6,723 KL to the Karnataka state government.

The union minister has responded positively and assured that the Kerosene oil remaining in the quota will be released to Karnataka.
