Bantwal: ‘Christmas Souharda Sambrama’ celebrated

Bantwal, Dec 21: “Unity in diversity is the basic essence of this land. But, we are forgetting everything because of power and money.Everyone should remember and learn the message given by Lord Jesus Christ,” said Mohandas Swamiji of Manila.

He was speaking during Christmas Souharda Sambrama 2022 at Modankap church ground organised by Christmas Souharda Sambrama Committee Bantwal and Panemangalore Women Congress.

“We should walk on the path of Jesus Christ. We should come away from communal dispute,” he added.

Bantwal church parish priest Fr Valerian D'Souza inaugurated the programme. He said, “If we help the poor, God will be pleased with us.”

Immaculate Conception Church Kinnigoli Fr Faustine L Lobo also spoke.

Mohammed Kunhi of Mangaluru Shanthi Prakashana gave message of harmony.

Former MLA Ramanath Rai said, “The message of Jesus Christ should be implemented effectively. Intolerance is disturbing our peace. In the present society, there is a necessity to live in peace.”

Bantwal Block Congress president Lavina Wilma Moras was present.

    Good move by all gathered there. Fr.Faustine L.Lobo of Kinnigoly Parish, born and brought up around Modankap, is capable of organizing such events. He is a very capable person, as I had seen him in Bangalore for many years.
