Mangaluru: MAHE to host its 31st convocation on May 17

Mangaluru, May 17: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Mangaluru, an institution of eminence, deemed to be university, one of India's leading research focused educational institutions is set to host its 31st edition of convocation on May 17. The convocation aims to discuss various aspects of MAHE’s plan to align its academic approaches with the National Education Policy 2020.

The convocation ceremony will take place at Dr TMA Pai International Convention Centre, M G Road, Mangalore at 3.30 PM. Dr M K Ramesh, vice chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, Karnataka will be the chief guest. Dr HS Ballal, pro-chancellor of MAHE, Lt Gen (Dr) MD Venkatesh, VSM (Retd.), vice chancellor of MAHE, Dr Dilip G Naik, pro vice chancellor, MAHE -Mangalore campus, Dr Narayana Sabhahit, pro vice chancellor – technology & science, MAHE, Dr Sharath K Rao, pro vice chancellor – health sciences, MAHE, Dr Niti Nipun Sharma, pro vice chancellor - strategy & planning, MAHE, Dr Madhu Veeraraghavan, pro vice chancellor – management, law, humanities & social sciences, MAHE, Dr Giridhar P Kini, registrar, MAHE will grace the event with their presence.

Dr Dilip G Naik, pro vice chancellor of MAHE, shared his sentiments and said, "I am genuinely delighted by the revival of the convocation in Mangaluru after a four-year hiatus caused by the disruptions in academic activities due to the pandemic. This day signifies the culmination of years of unwavering commitment, resilience, and academic endeavor. Our convocation stands as a testament to the steadfast dedication of both our esteemed teachers and our students—a celebration of their pursuit of excellence and personal growth."

The programme will begin by extending a warm welcome to all attendees, providing an insightful overview of the esteemed institution. The ceremony will include moments of recognition, such as the presentation of mementos, the awarding of gold medals, and the conferring of degrees and PhDs, underscoring the academic achievements of the graduating class. As graduates will take their solemn oath, the audience will witness the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.
