Mumbai: Billavara association celebrates Int’l Women's Day

Mumbai, Mar 10: The women's wing of Billavara association celebrated International Women’s Day with gaiety. The programme was held under the leadership of women's wing president Shakuntala K Kotian at Santacruz East on Thursday evening, March 8. Association president Nithyananda D Kotian lit the lamp and set the hall programme in motion.

Entrepreneur and convener Sharada Sooru Karkera was the chief guest. Social worker, entrepreneur Reshma Ravi Poojary and Kusuma Chandrashekar Palethady were present as guests of honor. Bharath bank vice-president advocate Rohini J Salian, Sudha L V Ameen, women's wing vice-presidents Vilasini K Salian, Prabha K Bangera and Pooja Kotian were on the dais.



Shakuntala K Kotian, Prabha K Suvarna, Saritha Chandra Salian, Adhiti P Salian, Roshni C Ameen, Shilpika Salian, Vasanti S Salyankar, Billava chamber of commerce and industries executive president N T Poojary and others were felicitated on the occasion.

Association local committee and coordination committee women's wing members and girls presented variety of dances as part of the celebrations.

The programme started with prayers from Sabita Poojary, Rekha Sadanand and Girija Poojary. Executive president Shakuntala K Kotian welcomed. Association honorary secretary Dharmapal G Anchan delivered the keynote address. Kavita Poojary, Girija Chandrashekar, Prema Kotian, Vanitha Kukyan, Pooja S Kotian and Girija Poojary introduced guests and felicities and presented flower bouquets to them.

Joint secretary Dr Geethanjali L Salian compered the hall programme. Honorary secretary Sumitra V Bangera rendered the vote of thanks.
