Mangalore: Bishop Henry Visits Pompeii P U College

Mangalore, Aug 19:
Bishop Henry D'Souza of Bellary, now in his home town at Kinnigoli for few days, visited his alma mater Pompeii PU College, Aikala, near Kinnigoli here. Bishop had done his higher secondary schooling in Pompei College.

He was extended a hearty welcome by Fr Paul Pinto, correspondent of the College, Fr Jerome D'Souza, principal of the College, the teaching and non-teaching staff and thousands of students.

Bishop Henry was felicitated by draping shawl, garlanding and was presented with a memento. In his speech he recalled the days when he was a student in the institution and while remembering the teachers who thought him , he advised the students to develop self confidence and advised them to indulge in extra-curricular activities along with their education.

He urged the teachers and lecturers to become role models to their students. Valerian Sequeira, president of Old Student Association was present on the occasion.
