Udupi: Motorcyclist, Bus Driver Disrupt Traffic on NH 17

Udupi, Aug 19: A motorcyclist held up traffic on national highway (NH) 17, on Tuesday August 19, afternoon, following an altercation with the driver of a private express bus.

The motorcyclist, driving within the speed limit, on the highway at Santekatte near Kallianpur, was dangerously overtaken by the bus driver, almost forcing him off the road. On this, the motorcyclist followed the speeding bus and blocked its path near S M S College.

Traffic was piled up on either side of the highway for almost one and a half hour, with neither vehicle budging. The situation continued till the traffic police arrived on the spot. Sunil Kumar, sub-inspector, Brahmavar, registered cases against both persons and managed to clear the   roadblock with the assistance of traffic policemen.

    Excellent job by motorcyclist. Bus drivers have to be punished for their rakeless driving now police should control on the busy pumpwell and thokottu and also on mangalore university road where there is lot of rush in the peak hours.

    Now even after this incident............what else proof is required to make it a fact that the bus drivers are real ......and have no care for neither their life nor the people seateed in their bus............. at least now people wake up in Uppala region dont support those bus association people for catching the people involved in the last weeks case......what they did was cent % right.............
