Thanks to all those who worked to get our brothers released from jail. Please search out and satisfy yourself that no one is still in jail. Parish Priest will have these details. These yougsters are our leaders, our living examples for Christ. Let them not be discouraged and let us boost their heroism, moral and love for christ. As our Bishop, H.E.Dr.Aloysius Paul D'Souza, said that the reaction of our people was spontaneous and no one could tolerate the harm & unholy acts on Blessed Eucharist, the living Lord-which is the base our faith, our living and our strength.

Dear boy’s congratulations. It is very sad that amongst these 20 boys many are not even involved any protest. During this time I have personally visited the prison 4 times. Amongst them 4 boys from Bellary origin working in Mangalore labour type jobs came to pray at Milagres church has been caught. More than 3 boys came to sight on 14th September for curiosity purpose after their tuition. Few policemen allowed the boys to run as they were college boys came from tuition but others caught them and arrested them as they were just came there for curiosity.

Thank you for all those who worked hard to release our brothers who protected the temple of God. Shame on to the inspectors, bhajrangis and the ruthless police who beat the women, nuns and innocent men for no fault of theirs. May God bless you abundantly for your great sacrifice and may the scars of physical and mental may be wiped away by the power of the Holy Spirit. I pray to the Almighty for all my brothers and sisters who defended Jesus, and that the Lord may shower on them and their families abundant blessings. Your reward is waiting in Heaven. What about those culprits like police inspectors, police, bhajrangi leaders and their followers who beat the women, nuns and the men mercilessly, do you all sleep at night or the scences of horror haunting you? Mind you those scences will haunt you forever, be prepared.

Thanks Dony Lobo for evincing interest in the recent happenings in Mangalore. The Diocesan Cathilic Lawyer's Guild along with a battery of lawyers did a tremendous work in helping those who witnessed for the Lord. Many of the people you have mentioned were not in the limelight during the two days of protest in and around Mangalore.Fr.Peter Noronha,Fr.Naveen Pinto were not to be seen anywhere near the agitating catholics inside the Bendur Church Compound. Maritto Sequeira and Eric Patrao were mute spectators during the day long protest leave alone taking initiative and leadership. If at all a name to be mentioned it was of Mr.Leslie Rego who showed real leadership quality during the protest before Adoration Monastery on 14th Sept and in Bendur Church Compound on 15th Sept and taken a active role in getting each and every person of our community released from jail. Hats off to Mr.Eugene D'Cunha, a noted advocate who guided us throughout the agitation and offered all legal assistance wherever needed.

Hearty congratulations to you brothers, and a cordial welcome. It is unfortunate that you should be jailed for no just reason. But that you have done for your community and faith is a consolation. I urge the district administration to withdraw all the cases unconditionally and immediately. May justice prevail everywhere.

It is a big shame for India that being the largest democracy in the world, we are still living in the colonial area. Innocent men and women were beaten, criminal cases filed against those who tried to protect their properties and places of worship. The police of Mangalore are paid salaries from the taxes paid by the Mangalorians but shamefully they attacked the very hands that fed them. They are equally guilty of attacking and damaging the Christians places of worship. It seems it is a conspiry hatched between the Police and State Governments in Karnataka and Orissa to terrorise the Christians by using the bogey of conversions.

I am sorry to say that, there is controversy in arresting the christian protesters. They never went to destroy the property. These are the people subjected to police brutality. In another words they are made criminals by this police force by using religious culprits and its forces. This problem will solve only, when BJP governament is reduced to ashes.

Releasing is good news, but what about the other people, they still under the brutal act of terror by this police. They have to be released. They have to produce the evidence for the wrong doing.

Those christians, may be youth and old who defended the church property and fought with the police were in police custody for 10 days and were released just on 24th September but what about our great goonda Bajrang Dal leader Mahender Kumar? He was arrested a week after the riot and that too a mere drama as if Govt.is just to show that it is with the people.Mr.Kumar was in police custody with VIP treatment under the guidence of Ganapathy another Bajrang Dal culprit.

This shows the difference between those christians who fought for the religion and these goondas and communuals who want to make our State a 2nd Gujarath.

Thanks to all who have strived for release from custody. May God bless them enormously. From the first day onwards Christians protested which continued second day also where the police beat Christians mercilessly and arrested.

The Deputy Commissioner of South Kanara was a worst person ever had in history where there was no law and order for three days. Even I doubt associates of BJP were in police dress and beating Christians. I request a thorough video check up is required on the atrocities. When I asked a person why Christians threw stones where they are not suppose to do so? He responded that it was so inevitable the opposite enticed them to throw stones.

Even though you would have avoided incoming stones and protested peacefully Christians would have scored more marks. Yes, indeed but the protests were so imminent, unexpected and not organized. Attacks on churches were going on quite long back but we didn’t protest so far but this time our youngsters acted spontaneously their feelings were out of control.

Now and then BJP government is occupied deliberately arranging cases against innocent Christians and falsely alleging. If the opposition and federal government were not intervening things would have been disastrous.

if a person sitting in Dubai can writes 'west indies / barbados, Cuba, Amercia' etc..why can't other people sitting far away from mangalore write that those arrested are innocents?!

Surprised to see people sitting at different part of the world are able to say they are innocent people without a little fraction of doubt! May be they are, but how could someone sit far and confirm this! I hope they are innocent people too but investigation is a must and shall be punished if found guilty! Too much of anything is not too good and I am sure having 100% innocence is always a risk! Fundamentally people these days try to justify things based on their interests and not looking at anything else?!

Thanks to all of you for your great achievement. Please ensure that these bajrangi brothers both civilians and in uniform will not trouble these brave Catholics again on this issue. Now file cases against these police officers for their illegal detention and torture. We have to ensure that these bajrangis learn their lessons and will not touch even our clothes in the future.

One question, how would the Hindus react if Americans were to break and vandalize their temples across the US? They have attacked our places of worship, they have attacked innocent people, but they cannot break our spirit. We forgive and that is our greatness.
