Kundapur, Nov 17:  'Madhura Mallika,' a new Yakshagana episode, was inaugurated at Kabbail near Hemmadi on the night of Saturday November 15.

Kabbail Srinivas Adiga inaugurated the episode 'Madhura Mallika' and delivered the key note address.

Speaking on the occasion, ex-MLA from Byndoor K Gopala Poojary advised the citizens of coastal Karnataka to shoulder the responsibility of conserving the Yakshagana art form with its true flavour, for the future generations.

V Santhosh Kumar Shetty, president, Hattiangadi gram panchayat, presided over the function.

T B Shetty, Judge, S V Aithal, general manager, SCDCC Bank, Madhava Adiga, scholar, Ashok Kumar Shetty,  president, Dakshina Kannada district Photographers Association, K P Hegde, Bhagavat, M G Kanchan, convene of , Sindhura Mela, Srinivas Adiga, writer of this  yakshagana episode, Kaltodu Chandra Shetty and Hussain Haikadi were present.

Maravante Prakash Padiyar compered the programme. Chandrakant Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
