Bangalore, Nov 17: Retired Lokayukta Justice N Venkatachala, who shot to fame because of his tirade against corruption during his term as the state Lokayukta and also surprise raids on the government offices, is all set to join the BJP shortly.
It is learnt that Justice Venkatachala expressed his intention to join the BJP and in response thereof, the BJP state president D V Sadanand Gowda met him at the former's residence recently to discuss the matter. Gowda also extended an invitation to the ex-Lokayukta to join the BJP.
Sadanand Gowda admitted that he had met the ex-Lokayukta and also that Justice Venkatachala was interested in joining the saffron party. However, the date of his joining the party has not been finalised as yet, Gowda stated.
