Mangalore: Businessman from Udupi Commits Suicide

Mangalore, Jan 27: One of the partners of a rice mill in Kalmargi, Udupi district committed suicide on Monday January 26. The deceased has been identified as Venkatesh Nayak (40).

Nayak, a partner in Bhagirathi Rice Mill in Shiryara Kalmargi of Kota, had visited Mulky for line sales of his mill products. He placed his cash bag in a temple, before jumping into a private tank located near Manampady Permar Guthu in Mulky.

In a complaint filed with the policemen, it was stated that Nayak was mentally depressed after losing Rs 19,000 during line sales five days back.
