Mangalore, Feb 2: The prize distribution ceremony of the ‘9th Pilikula Challenge Tournament’, held at the Pilikula golf course was held on Sunday, February 1.
MLAs Yogish Bhat and Abhayachandra Jain, and Ganesh Karnik, MLC, distributed prizes to the winners.
“Pilikula is becoming popular as a tourist spot and the golf course is an extra attraction. So, tournaments should be arranged to keep the course active”, said Bhat.
The government has plans to develop tourist spots as well as sports grounds, and the Pilikula golf course will also get help from grants, he said.
K C Naik, president of the Golf Club and other members were also present at the event. The two-day tournament had begun on Saturday January 31.
