Mangalore, Feb 2: Women and child development ministry joint secretary Kiran  Chadha visited ‘Amnesia’, the pub which was recently attacked  by activists of the Sri Rama Sena.  
 
Chadha refused to comment on the issue and said that the ministry had decided to investigate the issue and she would send a report to the ministry. D V Rao, under secretary of the ministry, was also present.
 
They visited the pub and talked to the owner. Chadha also met Pawan Shetty, who was present at the pub during the incident and was allegedly beaten up by Sri Rama Sena activists during the attack.

Sources informed that the ministry decided to send its officials following the comments by the National Women’s Commission (NCW) committee which visited mangalore to probe the incident.

Nirmala Venkatesh, the head of the NCW committee had said that security lapses at the pub were to be blamed for the incident.
