Beltangady: DVS to Centre - Pressurize Pakistan to Rein in Terrorism

Daijiworld Media Network - Beltangady (SP)

Beltangady, Feb 2: "The anti-terrorism movement in the country should turn into a social revolution. The union government should immediately breathe down the neck of Pakistan and pressurize it to destroy the terrorist camps and regulate the centres which breed terrorism there," said BJP state president and MP D V Sadanand Gowda.

He was delivering the valedictory speech  at the mega youth awareness meet organized by the BJP Yuvamorcha as part of its anti-terrorism programmes on Sunday February 1 at Kinyamma alias Gunavatiamma Hall in Guruvayankere.

"The Congress has been extending support to terrorists for pursuing its vote-bank politics. But, the BJP sacrificed power for the sake of the country. The Beltangady MLA has been engaged in goondaism and acts like a terrorist. Let him shed politics on the issue. Let us fight unitedly against terrorism," he appealed.

MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik who inaugurated the meet, noted that more people are dying out of terrorism than in wars. The country's sovereignty continues to be at stake as long as we have selfish people in whom the sense of nationalism has not taken birth, he added.

BJP Yuvamorcha national secretary Sunil Kumar, district president of the party Monappa Bhandary, ex-MLA Prabhakar Bangera and many other leaders were present.
