Mangaluru: Summer camp for children held at Guardian Angel Church, Angelore

Media Release

Mangaluru, Apr 20: On the morning of April 19, the mood at Guardian Angel Church was jubilant. The Golden Jubilee Hall was bustling with children of the parish. They had gathered to enjoy a day with fun and frolic with their friends.

The summer camp began in the morning. The programme was formally inaugurated by Fr Lawrence Cutinha, assistant parish priest; Paul Rodrigues, vice president of parish pastoral council; and Lolina D’Souza, secretary of PPC. As a symbolic gesture, a plant was watered by the dignitaries, Verina D’Souza and Daryl Monteiro.

The camp was conducted by Br Joel Monteiro and Br Denzil Rodrigues. A lot of games and activities were conducted to bring out the creativity and sportsmanship of the children. Parishioners of goodwill, religious sisters from the convents of the parish, as well as members of Angelore Youth Movement and Young Catholic Students helped in conducting the programme.

The programme concluded in the evening and the children left for their homes with rejuvenated spirit.
