Puttur, April 21:"Casting their votes is everybody’s responsibility," said taluk panchayat executive officer Navin Bhandary. He was speaking at a street play staged to create awareness about the importance of voting at Puttur.
The street play was written and produced by Mounesh Vishwakarma and shown at four different places in Puttur.
Well known actors and Government First Grade College students took part in the play. Activities that mislead the voters, the election commission's guidelines and ways and means adopted by political parties to lure the voters with inducements like liquor and other gifts were also shown in the play.
