Karkala constituency level Congress workers meet held, hundreds of youth join party

Karkala, Apr 21: Karkala Congress held a constituency level meet at the Karkala Manjunath Pai auditorium on Thursday, April 21.

MLC B K Hariprasad said that the party is pro-constitution. “Where are the two crore jobs promised by BJP? The prime minister is only hankering for publicity. Therefore, you should decide which government you want for the future of your children and health. Congress party has come to change the lives of people,” he said.

District in-charge Rosy John said that chief minister Bommai wants 40% commission in every tender. “BJP which says that it is for Hindutva has increased prices and made the people fools,” he said.

Congress candidate Muniyal Uday Kumar Shetty said that Congress party will win more than 140 seats in the state. “Congress candidate will win in Karkala. We will work to bring the Congress party to power. We intend to transform Karkala as a model,” he said.

MLC Manjunath Bhandary, Sudhir Kumar Maroli and Mamatha Gatty also spoke.

Prabhaker Bangera, Neere Krishna Shetty, block Congress president Sadashiva Devadiga, Prabhaker Bangera, KPCC member Surendra Shetty, district president Ashok Kadavoor, district campaign committee’s Harish Kini, Chandrashekar Bayari, Moidinabba, Diwaker Kedinje, Supreet Shetty, Navin Adyantaya, Hebri Pravin Ballal, George Castelino, ladies Congress president Rajani Hebbar, Anita D’Souza, Deepak Kotian and others were present. Several people including Ananda Poojary, Chandrahas Suvarna and others joined the Congress party.

Election campaign committee president Shubhada Rao gave an introduction. District media spokesperson Bipin Chandra compered the programme. Ramya, Sudheendra, Shivakumar and the party sang patriotic songs.
