Puttur: Accident at Pilikunda - Liquor Sachets Found in Car

Puttur, Sep 2: Spurious liquor sachets worth about Rs 45,000 were found in a Maruti Alto car that met with an accident at Pilikunda on the outskirts of the town.

The policemen, who rushed to the spot as soon as they came to know of the incident, arrested Mohammed Hanif alias Totte Hanif from Kasargod. His accomplice Abdul Latif from Kasargod, who also was travelling in the car, managed to escape.  The sachets were packed in 10 gunny bags. It is said that the local people who gathered around the vehicle, took away many liquor sachets, before the police arrived.

The police have confiscated the car. Investigations are on.

    People take the advantage of governmental rules.ban on liquor made haneef's life easy.Govrnmental income will be in Haneef's pocket.there may be plenty more haneefs around karnataka,with one or more illegal activities.If prosecuted there will be huge protest.
