B'lore: Carol Riana Monteiro Bags Silver at National Inter-Zone Athletic Meet

Bangalore, Sep 2: Carol Riana Monteiro, representing the state has bagged the silver medal in high jump in the under-16 category at the national inter-zone athletic meet, which is in progress at Jamshedpur, in Jarkhand state.

Carol bagged the second place in high jump after she cleared 1.50 metres at the J R D sports complex.  A Swarna Malathi of Tamil Nadu who too cleared 1.50 was tied with Carol for the second place while Shipu Mondal of West Bengal with a leap of 1.55 bagged the gold.
