Udupi, Sep 2: All the passengers travelling on a KSRTC bus had a close shave after the bus they were travelling left the road and ventured into a nearby field near Pangala here on Tuesday September 2.

A KSRTC bus carrying 24 passengers was on its way to Sangli in Mahrastra from Mangalore. It had left Mangalore at 2 pm and had reached Pangla around 3.15 pm when the tragedy took place.  When the driver of the bus tried to overtake another vehicle, he lost control over the bus and barged directly into a field which is about 10 feet below the road level.  The bus hit the barrier on NH before rolling over besides the highway.

All the passengers including the driver and conductor escaped with minor bruises.

Kaup police have registered a case in this regard.

I now understand from Ajays comments that there are no accidents in UK?? Its time he sat in a private bus between Mangalore and Udupi (both govt and private) to understand the speed (of either) and the risks that passengers take
