Mangalore, Sep 3: Addressing the newspersons after the inauguration of his office at the Mangalore City Corporation Building here on Tuesday September 2, district-in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar said that a direct link will soon be provided between the district and the office of the chief minister, for finding emergent solutions to the problems faced by the public.

Palemar added that his new office will soon be computerized and that once this is done, a direct link will be established with the CM's office. Nine employees will be attending to public grievances and complaints at his office. On all Mondays and Tuesday, he himself will be available at his office from 8 am onwards, Palemar announced.

"The public need not go to Bangalore to get their problems solved. My office will be doing everything possible to address them," he explained.

The minister said that he is aware of the problems the people of the district are facing because of bad roads. Repair work of all roads will be taken up by the end of this month and people can witness a marked improvement within a short span thereof, he expressed confidence.

Celebrations will be organized at all the taluk headquarters in the district including the city, to commemorate BJP's 100-day rule in the state, the minister said. The city will be developed by utilizing the special grant of Rs 100 crore sanctioned for the purpose, he revealed. As the minister in-charge of environment, he appealed the people not to immerse the idols of Lord anesha in ponds and wells, thus polluting sources of drinking water.

Mayor Ganesh Hosabettu, BJP district president Monappa Bhandary and others were present at the press conference.

If Palemar is honest,it is a good begining given in the back of numerous janata darshans & village stays of the past which were nothing but political stunts.
