Bangalore: Maxwell School and Lioness Club Celebrate Teachers' Day

Bangalore, Sep 6:  Maxwell Public School in association with the Lioness Club of Spoorthi celebrated Teachers' Day on Friday September 5, on the school premises.



The programme began at 9.30 am with a prayer song and welcome speech by students who then went along to entertain teachers, parents, and other participants. The eye- catching item of the day was a group dance by the girls of the kindergarten classes which enthralled the audience. A speech in English on Dr Radhakrishna, by Hansika, a student of class I, was yet another highlight.

Principal Ushakumari thanked all the teachers for their valuable guidance to the students  and for encouraging them in academics and athletics alike. Gifts were distributed to all the teachers and the ground staff by secretary Babu.



 

The winners of various competitions were also awarded prizes. Members of the Lioness  club of Spoorthi honoured principal Ushakumari. Tejaswini of class X compeered the programme which concluded at 11.30 am with a vote of thanks by Mohammed of class X.

    I am very happy and feel it an honour for participating in this Teachers' Day celebrations conducted on Friday September 5,2008 at Maxwell Public school. The Principal Ushakumari deserves all the appreciation for her administration of the institution and care taking of all the students and Teachers.

     The Teachers of the school are doing a splendid job in teaching and guiding the students in the right path with Good Knowledge, culture and Manner. Their services are well appreciated and honoured.Good job. Uma Devi
